Achieving Resolution through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

While a court order can resolve a divorce and issues associated with it, a judge’s decision does not necessarily provide a reasonable solution for both parties. If children are involved, their welfare must be taken into account as does the future relationships between their mother and father.

Using alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods such as principal negotiation, collaboration, and mediation, the two parties can discuss their issues in an open environment. They have the opportunity to place all of their issues on the table and reach a positive and healthy resolution.

Principal Negotiation or Litigation

Whether the issues relate to divorce, child custody and visitation, or child and spousal support, the mediation table is the preferred environment to resolve matters. However, ADR methods, such as principal negotiation, collaboration, and mediation are only effective if we can bring the other side into the process.

If the only available option is litigation, I will diligently represent you and the best interests of your children. Representation can also include securing modifications of divorce decrees as circumstances change in the future.
