Experience and Dedication

I received a J.D. from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law in 1986. That same year, I was admitted to practice law in Ohio. I established The Law Office Of Becky Blair, L.L.C. to assist families in resolving their disputes without further damaging their relationships. I am a past president of the Cuyahoga Bar Association Family Law section and have been a guest on television and radio shows on family law matters. In addition, I am a founder and former legal director of Adoption Circle, a non-profit adoption agency designed to help children and adults with the adoption process.

Complexities of a Contentious Divorce

The end of a marriage is difficult enough without compounding the problem with arguments and pettiness. Combine anxiety with constant court appearances, legal filings, and a variety of disputes, and you can see why litigating divorce is hard on so many people. In the end, you end up with a hefty legal bill and the necessity to engage in damage control with your ex-spouse, and, more importantly, your children. When working with clients about divorce, I try to assist them in seeing things from the children’s point of view and convince them what is best for their children.
